We have a lot of expertise to share. That’s why we regularly take part in a range of inspirational and supportive teaching and nurturing projects. Our intention is to continually open up exciting new opportunities for the next generation of painters, decorators, interior designers, architects and specifiers.

supporting generation now and generation next

We know it can be difficult out there. That’s why we give every ounce of support we can to all those in our industry. From professional designers, engineers, chemists, architects and craftspeople, right through to those apprentice painters, decorators and designers still in college, we’re here for everyone.

We also know the importance of engaging young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities in schools and colleges. We’ll regularly give inspiring talks that highlight the many possible career choices within our industry, and support university undergraduates with exciting live industry projects.

our big ambitions…

protecting craftsmanship

Working with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), we’ll be supporting talented craft scholars as well as junior craft events nationwide.

sharing knowledge more widely

We’re actively providing professional development opportunities to architects and designers, investing in apprenticeships and partnering with universities.

champion apprentice decorators

Through our continued commitment to events like Crown Apprentice Decorator of the Year UK and World Skills Ireland.

so, how are we doing?

we share our knowledge to help others succeed

In 2022, we delivered more than 100 CPD presentations to over 725 people. We also funded five chemistry degree undergraduates, who have now joined us as full time employees.

supporting the next generation of talent

We’ll continue to encourage, educate and support apprentice painters and decorators across the UK and Ireland by promoting and supporting the Crown Apprentice Decorator of the Year UK and World Skills Ireland national competitions.

partnerships aplenty

Working in partnership with Manchester School of Art, we provide real time commercial briefs for design undergraduates, inspiring them to future success. We have also partnered up with the QEST with 10% of all proceeds from our Crafted by Crown collection going to support the training of aspiring artisans and craftspeople.
