At Crown, we think neurodiversity is something to be celebrated, so we wanted to better understand the challenges and opportunities that architects and specifiers – who provide detailed technical specifications for projects – experience when designing neuro-inclusive environments.

We commissioned a survey of 250 architects and specifiers with prior knowledge of designing spaces that are supportive of neurodiverse needs, to learn from their experiences and expertise. We also carried out extensive desk research, and spoke to a panel of four external experts from the worlds of architecture and interior design, to incorporate wider qualitative insights and experience.
